1988 Night Of 100 Stars Feb 7th This was organised by Anthony Lyn who was appearing in a touring production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the time. He had to deal with everything between shows and did a fantastic job of getting it all together. The show became legendary for its run time. The last performer who was Ria Jones went on at about one in the morning. Catherine Zeta Jones came back as well with “42nd Street”. Theatre Impresario David Ian also performed as he was appearing in the musical “Time” in the Dominion Theatre in London. Swansea born Nigel Ellacott (the brother of Vivyan) now famous as the one half of the best Pantomime ugly sisters in the business also appeared on the bill, as did Ruth Madoc, Bobby Crush, Stan Stennett and Arwyn Davies (then 20) who did an act with Ronnie Williams, in celebration of his dad Ryan. Also in the show was Liz Fuller.
